North Louisiana vs South Louisiana

A guy in the barbershop yesterday was talking about the difference between North Louisiana and South Louisiana.
He and the ole gal who was cutting his hair had gotten off on the topic of old people and death. The guy says "I have some family in North Louisiana, and some family around Lafayette.
My uncle in Lafayette has cancer real bad, and he's fighting it like hell. He says 'I just want to live a little bit longer.' Wants to live for just one more Thanksgiving, one more LSU season, one more of his grandkids graduations, whatever.
Then I've got an elderly uncle in North Louisiana who literally will not go to the doctor to save his life. 'I've lived a life,' he says. 'I'm ready for the Good Lord to take me.' And man he means it! He could come down with pneumonia or something easy to fix, and it's going to kill him because he will not go to the doctor. He is ready to die.
My family in South Louisiana just want to live. That's it. Then my family in North Louisiana just want to die!"
