At least one man injured was wearing a Tulane medical lab coat. He was taken to an area hospital with injuries to his back. He was injured while driving his SUV when hit by gunfire.
New Orleans police said it has three in custody -- two are injured with gunshot wounds. -- and an AK-47 was recovered.
No additional suspects are at-large, police said.
There was also a shooting Monday afternoon near North Prieur at Conti streets. No word of any injuries.
