Of course, the tuition is $46K a year. If your family income is $125K that's over a third of your pre-tax income. Then you take out all the taxes because you're "rich".
Then you add in the exorbitant cost of living in that area and those students aren't going to be able to eat or keep a roof over their heads.

i want to know how this works with only 85 football scholarships... can they have no walk-ons unless they're making above 125k?
it's one thing that the Ivy League has these programs but now legitimate schools in P5 conferences are doing it

I'd have to check the NCAA rules, but if a certain standard applies equally to athletes and nonathletes, I would assume it doesn't count as a scholarship. Same goes for benefits (like the steak dinner Notre Dame alumni sponsor for the entire student body).
On the other hand, there might be different rules for football/MBB. If a player has a football scholarship he doesn't count against the track team's limit, but if he has a track scholarship he does count against the football team's limit. That's based on the assumption that schools will use the minor sports to pad their football roster but they won't do the opposite.
