What’s sad is that this happened in one of the few states where the DA and others in politics could actually stand up against shite like this. Many other states would have had politicians and even people in the LEO community contributing to the stupidity.

I don't know about that. Most states have an ethics and or criminal law concerning the unauthorized (not licensed in said state) practice of law.
If the MS bar found him to be practicing law in MS without a license or violated other ethics laws, they could report to the state(s) he holds a license in and then they could potentially act upon what happened in MS.

He doesn’t actually practice law in these instances though.
