NOLA Taylor Swift Tickets

My wife ( no pics ) and 8-year-old daughter are interested in tickets.
I'm looking on TIckPick and seeing budget seats in the 2k range.
Are these tickets selling at 2k a pop for nosebleed seats? Are they worth it? The two tickets are going to be around 4500 all in.
I've made it clear to my 8-year-old that if this happens, consider this a Christmas and birthday present from mom and dad.

Where have you been? Yes, tickets are the hottest item in the world this year.

Give the girls an experience neither will ever forget. Drive them to a restaurant before the show and pick them up after so they don't have to worry about parking in the city.

Have your wife’s boy friend drive them and buy tickets. $4,500 are you nuts?

I personally would not pay for tickets at that price. That being said I know people who have for this woman and they did not regret the experience. These weren't hard core Taylor Swift fans either, they were doing it for their grandkids. Turns out she's pretty solid live.

Man I’m in the same boat. I’d love to give this experience to both my wife and daughter (would then have to bribe younger child with some cash since there’s no way I can do three tickets) but this cost is a damn family trip we could be doing vs a 3 hour concert….

I'll let you in on a Smoothie King Center secret - If you go to the ticket office AFTER the opening act starts playing, but BEFORE the main act starts, they'll sell you the tickets at half price.
We've seen several great concerts for very cheap using this method.
ETA: NM, the LGTBQ's of the OT are saying it's in the Dome instead of the Smoothie King Center.

Concert is in the superdome and ticket office has zero seats so not sure that plan would work

Just take them to see Taylor Not So Swift, a lot cheaper.

This Taylor Swift shite is out of control

And this isn’t even at the smoothie king center.

People are out of their mind to pay that kind of money for a concert. You can take a real vacation somewhere for a week on that kind of money.

no concert is worth that amount of money

Tickets went on sale more than a year ago? That might have been the time to investigate.
Just as a heads-up, tickets to LSU-Alabama this year may also be expensive. Especially if you start working on tickets right before the game.

Investing $4.5K for concert tickets for an 8-year old?
This has to be a troll.
I have a list of 5 deceased artists I would love to see in concert one more time. I wouldn't pay 2 grand for a ticket to see all of them on consecutive days in the dream venue for each.
I heard that tickets in the front few rows are being sold around $15k. I will tell anyone who buys a ticket at that price to their face that they are a f'ing idiot!
