That was one of only a few reasonable responses, if you actually read the screenshots of the thread. He’s basically calling the NOLA defenders battered wives with PTSD, the type that get beat up every week but refuse to press charges and post on Facebook how much they are “in love with my hubby.”

I think the battered wife analogy is spot on. And I guarantee that 99% of the douchebags posting in the “locals” reddit forum are people who moved to New Orleans from outside of LA within the last 15 years (ie carpet baggers, trust fund kids, NJ Jewish kids who hung around after finishing at Tulane, et al).
