if you really think wealth redistribution from taxpayers to welfare recipients is a way to grow the economy than I feel sorry for you. And if you think that isn't the ultimate goal for Latoya and SWB than I feel sorry for you again.

When LaToya Cantrell raises her right hand Monday to take the oath of office, she will make history, becoming the first female mayor in New Orleans' 300-year existence. Her installation also means that Louisiana's three largest cities - New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport - all have black female Democrats as their leaders.

You forgot to throw in the word “community” in with that. Community and Action go hand in hand with their politics like City and Fashions in the name of their clothing stores...

New mayor's first day on the job and barges are crashing into major attractions. Coincidence?

And as usual, nothing will improve. Identity politics, gotta love it.

This city is so fricked. The medical community is up in arms with her new EMS director. Dr. Elder had run one of the finest EMS’ in the country for years now. His employees love him. He’s been invited all around the country as an consultant to other EMS departments. I know him personally and a few months ago he decided to bail on his own because word was out that Toya wanted change across the board. So what does this dipshit do? Appoints a fricking pediatrician with no adminstrative experience.

This is her:

In her defense, she at least has ER experience even if it is in pediatrics. The optics of it all are pretty obvious though. All of Toya’s appointees have been shitty thus far. This is what happens when people don’t vote though. White folks bailed on that election after Torres and Head decided not to run.
