Nah. Like the other guy who responded said, there are still pockets of Metairie that are like that, but it's not anywhere near the all encompassing whole of such that it was 30 or so years ago. It's the aging of that wave that has a lot to do with it, but there are other factors.

Yeah Metairie has changed since the times of the 70’s and 80’s, but saying it’s “done” when it comes to having young middle class families is just stupid..

New Orleans is getting SJW whiter (meaning no kids) while JP is getting darker (blacks from NOLA being priced out and Hispanic population exploding). Disastrous combination for Catholic schools in the area.

St. Elizabeth is doing very well now. They are building a new 60,000-square foot facility by Divine Mercy church.
