In VA you can swipe your credit card to pay for tix and the machine just spits them out in 2secs if you are doing autopick numbers.

You cannot use your credit card to buy lottery tickets

Nice. After I get my winnings I will only have 10 more payments on my baller house.

I played last night for the first time since the last time it was over a billion. Five picks, and it was the first time I've hit absolutely zero numbers.

So that's it. I'm definitely going to win next time

When the lottery first came out I wrote down the numbers I'd play just for fun instead of buying a ticket. I had all the numbers right except one. It's pointless for me to buy lottery tickets now, what are the odds of doing it twice.

Just as good as they were before.

The numbers being 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are just as likely as anything else.

The chances are the same, not the odds.

I would have but didn't buy a ticket.

Odds are the same. Each drawing is an independent trial. The numbers that were drawn last night are exactly as likely to be drawn next time as every other possible set of numbers. It doesn’t *feel* that way but that doesn’t change the math.

If the odds are 1 in 300 million of it being 1 through 6 then the odds of it being 1 through 6 TWICE are multiplicative.

For example, what are the odds you roll a 6 on a dice twice? 1/36. 1/6 x 1/6.

ETA: If I won I’d buy piles of land, a few vacation homes, build a mansion on par with the old antebellum homes, and continue to farm for the fun of it. Travel would be a definite go and I’d probably spread a few mill around very close family (i.e. pay off house notes, provide for Little Timmy’s college, etc.).

You can in Arizona. It depends of what state you live in.

Per the AZ lottery website:

Accepted forms of payment vary and are at the discretion of the individual retailer.

I also bought my lottery tickets yesterday from the lottery vending machine at my grocery store. You can insert cash or swipe a credit/debit card.
