My mother beat the hell out of all her many kids when she thought they needed it. Not one of us has ever been arrested.
When she was 80 years old, I told someone I was still afraid of her. I think she could have taken me in a fair fight....

It isn't like it helps. Having a father around and giving them good parenting would help.
Beating the kids every now and then doesn't make them a good parent or in this case a hero.
Btw, I agree with not charging her.
All of this. People holding this woman out as some pantheon of parenting is the silliest thing ever. She's no doubt beat the shite out of her kids (6 from 6 fathers, mind you) their entire lives. I wouldn't say her results from doing so are stellar. Nor do they show such practices will produce upstanding members of society.
She shouldn't be charged with anything, though, I guess I agree. But certainly should not be celebrated either. Her culture is a BIG problem.

The racists of the OT are torn on this one. This lady is poor and black, which is bad. But she beat up some black kids, which is good. We'll just have to wait for trump to speak on the issue before we get a consensus

It doesn't hurt to have that element. But yes. A teaxher/role model in their lives would be very significant.

And when is society gonna stand up and see THAT culture as going down the wrong road... IMO ANY parent that applies for ANY state help should be drugtested every month before receiving benefits....

Yes, they should educate HER in Loretta Lynch's way of dealing with radicals and fundamentalists, more love. Love them to death. It's worked extremely well so far.
