Crescent moons give me the willies. Reminds me too much of the religion of peace and all that.

Was wondering if that was a planet. It’s very very bright- really cool.

How long does it take for the light of Venus to reach us? Anyone know?

Not that long. Probably about 5 minutes, making an educated guess.

What's cool is watching the phases of Venus through a telescope.

Even when it looks like a bright sphere in our sky, with a telescope, you can see that it's only a quarter or half-phase, depending on its position to us around the sun.

Jupiter has been very bright in the SE sky as well.
