Does anyone know if Verizon discounts data overages in situations like this? Our internet has been down and with AT&T being down yesterday I have been using the shite out of my data trying to locate people, helping neighbors track down friends and family, keeping track of the weather situation, etc.

I would add additional coverage or call Verizon at 611- sometimes they work with you

I think Sprint gave me three free months after Katrina for the same reason. Call them.

Like others have said, I would call them before assuming they'll take care of it.

send some sort of written correspondence to them as well, and if they respond negatively, post that shite on line. i imagine the public seeing a phone company not willing to work with someone dealing with a disaster is something they'd likely try to avoid.

Verizon comped me a month or two for Katrina but also Verizon wasn't working for much of that time due to towers being wiped out.

Not a millenial, but that was indeed a millenial response.
