LINK ]Welcome to New Orleans East Home of the NO Police!

Last Monday, the couple said movers packed all their valuables into a full-sized trailer, drove down from their hometown of Columbus, Ohio, parked the trailer at a lot adjacent to a Super 8 motel in New Orleans East and went to dinner.

When the movers returned, the entire trailer with the couple's clothing, family pictures and furniture, including their precious, handmade bed, had all been stolen.

Trailer locks, never leave a trailer without one.

Most people have to grow up in NOLA to experience that culcha. These people got it an hour after they arrived.

Still have no idea why anyone would want to live in Nola. Awesome to visit though.

When I leave a trailer of mine parked, I lock the tongue, I use a separate tongue lock and also lock the wheels with a very large cable lock.

People steal trailers really quick. Too easy to do too. Steal a trailer, steal a permanent plate, good to go.

Well, now, I suppose that depends on whose point of view you're referring.

There needs to be billboards all along I-10 warning travelers not to take any of the exits in Nola East.

Who the frick stops in the east for anything. If my gas light comes on, I'll risk running out on the twin span before I stop in new orleans east to fill up

On a similar note, NOLA has now gone 30 consecutive days with at least one carjacking and/or armed robbery.
