Then maybe that's the change that is needed. Change the verbiage of qualified immunity. If it was truly a mistake, then I agree with you. But in cases where it wasn't a mistake, like with Chauvin, then it shouldn't come into play.

If we know anything about the history of the New York Police Department it is that there are a lot of wealthy street cops.
Wealth accumulated off the books through illegal means and generally at expense of the general population if you didnt get that.
