Would you engage those weapons while armed with a Glock?

Serious question: do Aussie patrol cops have guns?

I don’t believe so. I think their “regular” patrol cops are unarmed and they have to request an armed unit.

I have heard that they are pretty easy to shoot. Unfortunately, I don't have one and have never even shot one

Making a hit at 100 yards with a sidearm isn't out of the question if you have a few seconds to make some good tries at it. I wouldn't want to be in a rifle fight with a pistol, but point being a loosely qualified person with a pistol and one magazine can possibly affect the whole dynamic dramatically. It's mind blowing that it took 10 minutes for somebody to shoot back. Seems that even somewhere with extreme gun restrictions, a bunch of cops would keep rifles in their cars. There was a police station nearby. How the hell was there not a good guy with a rifle involved in less than 10 minutes?

could always just leave, right? The one terrorist got disarmed by an overweight civilian. I’m not sure you can say shooting someone is the only option where we just saw evidence on video where it was not the only option.

What about getting out of hand? There’s a slew of other options. Yall are just dumb and emotional and shouldn’t have guns.

"Law enforcement " is just a shitty DEI jobs program for the marginally capable like the rest of govt and education empires

Australian Government confiscated guns a few decades ago.
How's that working out?
They've had two mass shootings in the last three decades compared to our......more than two

If guns are already banned in Australia, how, pray tell, can you make gun laws any stricter?

The Aussie PM is a gigantic tool.

We as a country need to be thankful for the law enforcement we give a hard time to every single day.

Our officers patrol a country with the most guns in human history and they fully know the risk when they enter the force and yet they engage in firefights daily like warriors.

We should be thankful

I hope the officers that gave up or ran are arrested. This is criminal in my opinion.

That or pay back all years salary plus interest.
