Well shite. My life’s ambition is now in shambles. Thanks for nothing, pal.

it is kind of funny that our system of property division was created by the patriarchy and actually serves to keep men in marriages they'd love to get out of. a legal and social system that serves women so strongly was created when they had no political power, and they are pushing to create a new system that destroys much of that power/value

You're a perfect example of what I was talking about. The obvious answer to solving the problem of exploding STD numbers is monogamy. But just as I said, this answer is rejected because it does not fit the narrative. You set aside logic and let your ideology cloud your judgment.

indeed.

plus, more & more men are waking up to the idea that system is a sham.

itll be interesting to see how this all plays out

Even rates of 450 per 100,000 = 0.45% of the population. The total numbers sound high and scary, but it’s still relatively minuscule rates in the population. I understand the rates are higher in younger or black populations, but 0.45% isn’t very scary.

BUT you can not put that sexual liberation movement back into its monogamy box now that its been set free

so while the traditional values youre speaking of do help society function more effectively, we can never go back to that

enjoy the decline

Are all of the shows I watch totally exaggerating the rates at which men visited brothels & had mistresses? Every “historic” show is filled with banging tons of randoms, even in societies with traditional values.

Sadly, you're right. I don't see us reversing the downward spiral before we hit rock bottom. It's actually fascinating to watch.

Those type of things have always been around. But modern media not only exaggerates these things, they do it to the point of outright pushing propaganda. Most of what you're being taught about history today is a pure lie. Even Gobbles himself would blush to see the level of propaganda being spoon fed to the public now.

I think it's how you're raised. I grew up with both parents and never did they leave each other. I dont believe either strayed. So I expect that in my relationships.

My wife's dad left her mom for another woman when she was ten. She was a daddy's girl so it broke her heart. When we argue she will throw sayings like just leave like my dad did.

In my eyes leaving is not an option.

I'm going to be thrashed for this but I don't really give a shite. God designed us to be with one person for life. That was his intention in the beginning. A man marries a woman and they are the only ones either has sex with for life. Period. That was the original design. But almost from the beginning we screwed it up. From homosexuality to polygamy to promiscuity we warped God's design. And the process just keeps going further and further from what it was intended and as it does society rots a little bit more every day.

God wants us to be with one person, but he definitely didn't design us in a way that makes it easy.

We report every case of HIV, herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, hep (all of them), etc to our county and state health department.....who sends to CDC.

Guarantee you CDC has those numbers somewhere.

Why is HIV not tracked?

It used to be, IIRC.

My guess is doing so only serves to makes the gays and IV drug users look bad.

The last time I checked, those two groups, less than 5% of the population, were responsible for about 80% of all new HIV infections.

Believing in god is questionable enough, but to say he designed men to be monogamous is idiotic.
