New Orleans residents never cease to amaze me...

I get this gem from someone in our neighborhood......

quote:
Has anyone near the intersection of ****** and ****** recently put out rodent poison? In the last week, I've noticed 2 dead squirrels in my yard. They both looked like they were young adults, so I thought it was odd that they had perished so young and that is the reason I thought poison might be to blame.
Here's the issue with it. My dog found the first one and I have been very concerned that she may have come in contact with the rodent and would get poisoned herself! And both of my neighbors have small children who play in their yards!!
Poisoned dead rodents and children and pets are not a good mix!!
If someone has put out poison, please consider another option in the future!!

What am I missing? Where's the "gem" part?

Maybe they got whipped to death by Junior Galette.

sounds fair to me...
Why doesn't she suggest another option?
Maybe it was the cats that killed the squirrels?
Maybe she should keep her dog on a leash and out of other peoples yards.

Less hippies in Metairie.

If I put poison out in my own yard, and your dog or child eats it, then thats your problem..not mine

She said she found them in her yard. Try hard much?

suggesting another option makes it sound bossy. She was just letting her neighbors know that there could be negative side effects to the poison.

Just happy the city finally fixed the pothole on Louisville and Bragg. Guess the city didn't want to see the reindeer and ornaments in the news again this year.

It's a piece of pre-zombie apocalypse culture.
