I was wondering the same thing - my husband was exposed to Covid several times at work over the past year and he always tested negative

He was sick in July - but he did not have Covid according to doctors

Pretty much any Walgreens has them. $30 or so and get results in a couple minutes.

Link?
I’m not finding anything on their site for antibody testing

Is it only Walgreens that have LabCorp in them?

Walgreens site.

Again, not sure if this is available at every location, but it has been at a couple I have gone to. No idea if they are LabCorp ones. It was OTC then run on site.

I always called before going to get it.

Chris, this infringes on EVERYONE'S rights. No one should be forced to undergo any medical treatment that they choose not to undergo. Whether it is good for them or not, for the greater good or not. That is what freedom and rights are. Choosing for yourself.

No one is being forced to undergo any medical treatment they don't want to undergo. Everyone has a decision. If someone does not want to take the vaccine they don't have to, they just have to go get a Covid test and if it is negative they can show that they are negative. If they don't want to take the vaccine or do a Covid test then they are making the decision not to go.

quote:

Those concerned about the spread of COVID are the ones who should be choosing for themselves and staying home. No one should be making those choices for others.

Should you prove you don't have the measles, the mumps, the chicken pox, the flu before you enter an establishment? Of course not. Should you have to carry around your vaccination card to prove you have had those vaccinations before being allowed to enter? Of course not.

COVID is a nasty virus. But, it isn't going away. And no one has the authority to tell others how they are to manage their rights. Including freedom of movement, freedom of association, freedom to assemble.

Just a little food for thought.

When the vaccine first became available I thought at that point it was time to be it behind us. People either take it or they don't. If people get sick because they don't take it then oh well. That's on them.

But then this delta variant comes around and some people who are vaccinated are getting sick, but by all accounts they are not getting as sick, while people without the vaccine who are getting sick, are getting really sick.

Louisiana is one of the least vaccinated states and it has one of the highest Covid rates. Now this is when it starts impacting my life because there are restrictions and I have to show whether I am vaccinated or not all because people refused to take it.

If someone who has taken the vaccine has an emergency and has to go to the ER or something and they can only get half arse treatment because there are not enough doctors or nurses because of all the Covid patiences then that could impact my life.

Maybe if more people get vaccinated it will slow down the spread of it and put this behind us. Instead, we are where we are and my rights are being infringed on.

And what happens with babies? They get what? 2 months shots? 6 months shots then 1 year shots? (I am not 100%, I know its something like that). If taking a vaccine is infringing on people's rights then we need to start waiting until these kids are old enough to decide whether or not they want to take the vaccine instead of having people decide for them that they must take it. If they catch something before then, thats just the cost of their freedom right?

This wont get costly

The testing is free.

If we started charging $150 for a test the numbers would start dripping off

False. Nothing is free. Also the fact that vaccinated people can test positive for Covid defeats the whole point.

Look unless everyone decides to balk at this, it will not go away and only get worse. This isn’t about safety. It is about control.

“My lease is up in May. Northshore here I come.“

If you bring the policies that are causing you to move with you when you come, I will personally come and find you.

How about you explain how the mayor has this kind of power? What law allows it?

ETA and don't say she had our because she's doing it. That's not an answer

I got the jab and think this is ridiculous. I understand vaccine cards on LA Wallet but how are they going to enforce fake negative test that can literally be made in 5 seconds on acrobat?

No - this means a decision was forced upon me. I did not autonomously make that decision.

The parent(s) is responsible for that child’s medical healthcare and decisions for 18 years (for the most part) some parents opt out of vaccinations for their children. Most parents want what’s best for the child.
