Man, Navy boot camp looks like a joke compared to Army/Marine boot camp.

Boot Camp passage rate

85% or so pass

The numbers tell me that nearly every person on this board could pass.

Lol because the navy is that much more hardcore than the air force.

It amazed me in boot camp how many guys stepped forward when asked how many could not swim or even tread water. Did these guys not think there was a damn good chance they might find themselves on a boat somewhere in the middle of an ocean and that skill might come in handy someday?

For me, the guys in my bootcamp division have started to retire. It's crazy to see a dude at his retirement ceremony and know how much of a F-up he was at Great Lakes

My previous post wasn't trying to make me look like a badass

I was simply saying the bootcamp TV shows could be better if they showed the shite the military wouldn't want you to see.

perhaps their recruiter said the Navy would teach them and not to worry about it.

Is that when the DS decided not to front/back/roll you as hard or back to back ruck marches so you could clean your weapon 20 times and spit shine the barracks?

I doubt my sense of humor would be appreciated in the military.

I follow some of my former shipmates from the Pittsburgh as well

Bootcamp graduation ceremonies were on Fridays. That weekend consisted of liberty from 8am to 6pm each day until you shipped out to A school on Monday.

Navy doesn’t have stress cards

Also Air Force gets hazard pay for coming to a school in Pensacola.

I've always thought boot camp, in addition to being a living hell that you are proud of accomplishing by the end of it, would be fun. The physical pain you get accustomed to. The mental games are what does it.

Do you really think you’re going to get a good indication of a guy who has one line in a one minute trailer? If you met the guy in real life he’d frick your shite up. But go ahead and seem like a hard arse online.
