I trust your opinion on account of your the 2nd smartest lineman I've conversed with (Elois Grooms#1), but 53K puts you in a V-8 F-150.
Better ride, better tech, better truck and resale very nearly as good.
Not feeling a 4cyl anything for $50K...

A little more info.
Tacomas now built in Mexico.
Ford, GM, Ram built in Mexico or by America hating UAW "workers".
Ridgeline built in Alabama by non-union America loving baws and bawettes.

What bet?
It stands to reason the Silverado is a heavier duty truck...with that comes stiffer suspension. Stiffer suspension rides, well, stiffer, no?
I've owned 3 Silverados and 1 Ridgeline. I feel like I might have a little bit of a unique perspective. Tell me you've even ridden in a Ridgeline, much less owned one. I won't believe you.
Why you driving so hard to the hoop on Honda? Show us on the doll where Mr. Honda touched you...

Backseat can’t fit a car seat worth a shite. Not sure if that applies to you or not but it was immediately out of the running for me because of that.
Insane design choice by Toyota.

The Ridgeline has some of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. Great NVH and decent power.
Id get the AWD version ahead of anything in that segment ATM, and the Tacoma would likely be my third choice.

You’re the one getting defensive….

Sorry about your Pilot with a bed….
I’ve ridden in a Ridgeline and it rides like every midsize truck…
I do like the cargo box in the bed and the multi gate function though.
I was ragging on it because someone was on here bragging about its 280 HP, and it having the best ride of any other truck. Don’t take it personal my man, you didn’t build that truck yourself.

I persoanlly think the GMC Canyon looks the best in this segment
I'm reminded of those cartoon characters that put their thumb in their mouth and plump themselves up....that's what I think of the newest Canyon/Colorado.
The tailgate/fenders bulging out like blisters. It's silly looking.
Such a shame as the prior gen was handsome.
