On a clear night, I can usually capture at least one meteor in a long exposure photograph. I took these with an IPhone 13 pro using a stand and a remote. Each picture takes about 30 seconds. After enhancing the brightness and sharpness in iPhoto, you can see more stars than possible with the unaided eye.

The dash streak in this one is just a plane:

I watched it with binoculars during the photo and it was definitely a plane

The stand and little remote make a yuuge difference in the clarity and how many stars I can capture. It’s impressive what the iPhone camera and simple stand setup can do. I can’t wait to clamp it to the telescope next time I have a good view of Orion’s nebula.

Night mode is the bees knees.

Either we are all alone here in this universe, or we are not.

Each scenario is terrifying.

Here's a pic of Orion Nebula with 80mm scope on an EQ mount taken with an OSC (one shot color) camera...

I have this telescope

And this clamp

I’m really excited to see what a difference less light pollution makes at the beach this weekend. That will be the darkest area I’ve ever used it in.
