Yeah it's been awhile since I had vB.. they definitely made it easy to migrate but like I said, that's been a minute. I really just wish I could log on here and see notifications from subscribed threads or get email notifications of quotes/replies.

So when you scroll down the page we would be updating the database constantly? Seems like a feature that could slow down the site and hurt user experience on slow connections. Can you link a site that does this?
I have one I post on, but would rather not have the heathens of the OT with access to it to add the link here.

How active is this forum? Can you email us a link? Would like to see that feature in action.

ETA: Found the email, will send now.
Admittedly, this site I'm referencing isn't terribly active at all, just a few posts a day at this point. It used to be active but nowhere near TD levels, by active I mean 100s of posts a day. I imagine there are busier(maybe not TD level busy) phpBB forums that do it as well.
Also another example, not phpBB but I think the EA Answers(Electronic Arts) message board may have the same feature where you click in and it takes you to the first unread post.

I already miss the number of pages next to each topic, how else am I supposed to know which convos are popping? The "replies" column is too far over

Just an FYI, when clicking on the borders of the forums above, if you miss by the tiniest of space, it pops up Amazon.

For desktop users, there is a new feature that provides a shortcut to the last page you have read in a thread.
Great, now Chicken will be reporting to the Feds what threads we read.

One thing that I noticed is the scroll bar when not using reverts to nearly the same color as the rest of the space. Very hard to distinguish where the bar is located until you are actually on it. If it was darker the entire time that would be better for users. Not a tech guy just a user.
