I’m tired of girls commenting at bars that we are all wearing the same shoes. 
I will probably just get the same ones though, they seem to be the best quality. If I wanted nice shoes that aren’t very durable I would just buy on clouds.

500 is the sweet spot
ETA: I’m 40 and have been wearing NB since my teenage years. I got into them for casual and never really left. Never got into the 990 style but the 300s and 500s last forever if you’re not using them as running shoes.
On the running side, the 1080 IMHO is the best running shoe ever.
My wife and both sons wear the frat style now pretty regularly.
