Not trying to be too much of a jerk but why don't you first change your girlfriend's name to Mrs. lsuandsaintsfan and make an honest woman out of her. Too many unwed mothers around here, imho.
Back to your OP: Elijah is a good name, I personally really like traditional names.
Funny story: I worked with a woman (unwed and not Caucasian of course, sorry not PC) that named her boy Alquerio Marche'. Swear to it. After she had him it was mentioned on a "stupid baby name" segment on a rock station in Jackson, MS one morning. I almost wrecked my car driving to work I was laughing so hard.
