yep. a well managed cath lab should bring in the same revenue if not more. but the cath labs are all but closed at this time. how can a heart cath be delayed right now but not an abortion????? i don't get it.

And it’s 96 hours over April, May, and June. And they will still be accruing. Basically working 4 day weeks until July 1. That’s my understanding.
I’m hoping they don’t end up having to make massive layoffs.

You got it right. 16 hours per pay period to July 3rd. 6 pay periods. 96 hours. They still accrue though.
It’s more about how it looks on the balance sheet for Ochsner. Managers will likely show some flexibility as long as it’s reasonable.

What do they do if they don't have enough PTO?
Posted on 4/17/20 at 5:03 pm to ell_13
Yeah, the only people I can see getting screwed are people saving up for already planned long vacation in July. Already paid deposits, stuff like that.
Supposedly everyone including execs have to do it.

You go into the negative up to 40 hours.

And expectant mothers

Up to 40 hours?
So if you have 8 hours saved up you get 96 PTO and only have to pay back 40. So you get 48 free PTO hours?
But if you have 56 saved up you get all of your hours forfeited plus you have to pay back an additional 40?
That seems ridiculously unfair.

Go negative.
Gotcha. Some businesses won't allow people to go negative

Didn’t even think about expectant mothers, you’re right. I would assume that for special circumstances such as that, they would make exceptions. Pregnant mothers giving birth in the 3rd quarter of the year couldn’t affect the bottom line enough to make a blip on the balance sheet.

Baton Rouge General is doing worse. It might not survive this.

You don’t “get” any PTO. You’re required to use what you’ve stored up. When that runs out, I believe they let you go up to 40 hours negative. When that runs out, you don’t get paid for the 2 days per pay period that you have to take off (I’m assuming the last part).

Trust LNCHBOX on this situation.

That's last part wasn't specified to me
