1 chimp vs 5 lineman is a possible debate.
1 chimp would have zero chance, what are you talking about?

You know a chimp is not a gorilla, right?

All 5 dudes jump on the chimp. he gets a couple of dudes sliced up, but they very, very easily overpower him and pin him and kill him.

What are we doing here?

I am convinced most people in here think a chimp is a gorilla

It’s the only way some of these comments make sense

This thread led me down the rabbit hole to find a crazy Russian scientist who tried to inseminate women with chimpanzee sperm in 1920 to create a human-ape hybrid

The soviets gave him a million doll hairs to try this

LINK

quote:

Ilya Ivanovich Ivanov (Russian: ????´ ???´????? ?????´?, August 1 [O.S. July 20] 1870 – March 20, 1932) was a Russian and Soviet biologist who specialized in the field of artificial insemination and the interspecific hybridization of animals. He is famous for inseminating three female chimpanzees with human sperm (with no result) as a part of his controversial attempts to create a human-ape hybrid.

In the 1920s, Ivanov carried out a series of experiments to create a human/nonhuman ape hybrid. Three female chimpanzees were inseminated with human sperm, he failed to create a pregnancy. In 1929 he organized a set of experiments involving nonhuman ape sperm and human volunteers, but was delayed by the death of his last orangutan.[1]

Spin it how you want. It says tore whether with its mouth or not. It’s takes pure strength to do. Keep going though

Ok. Lets talk pure strength again of a chimp compared to an average human, not a 300 lb college lineman

quote:

“There’s this idea out there that chimpanzees are superhuman strong,” says Matthew O’Neill at the University of Arizona in Phoenix. Yet his team’s experiments and computer models show that a chimpanzee muscle is only about a third stronger than a human one of the same size.

quote:

This result matches well with the few tests that have been done, which suggest that when it comes to pulling and jumping, chimps are about 1.5 times as strong as humans relative to their body mass. But because they are lighter than the average person, humans can actually outperform them in absolute terms, say O’Neill.

LINK

I predict the 41st person in this thread comes in shortly and still says the chimp is "way stronger" than the lineman

So what you got to say about the other article I posted. You skipped over that one? How convenient huh. That was a mans first hand experience showing a chimps strength

You posted an article about a man talking about a chimp beating him up

Whats your point?

I posted a video showing a man not getting severely beaten by a chimp

Also, this thread is about 5 very large males vs 3 chimps

Exactly a much larger athletic man

Nowhere in that video shows a chimp trying to do anything but play with that guy and you also have no context to that grainy arse video

They encountered a pack of chimps in the wild and the chimp attacked. It was not playing. It did injure the mans fingers and ear

I knew an old Sergeant that faught a chimp in a bar in Vietnam.... he said he got the first punch and hit it square in the mouth and he thought he knocked it out. It climbed on top of him and slapped him so much and hard it knocked him out... his buddies told him it didn’t take the chimp 30 seconds.

Im fricking retarded because I know 5 humans weighing 1500 lbs that are roughly 2-3x stronger would crush 3 chimps weighing 350 lbs?

You think like a 6 year old. Size and strength are pretty far down the list of things you need in a fight. Skill, speed and toughness are way more important and the Chimps have that in spades.

The fact that the OP asks about 5 CFB Linemen who have zero unarmed combat training (because they look tough to him) makes this question ever more childish than it already was.
