It was a bad party if they didn't show up.

quote:

I've been arrested twice for party related issues. Extreme disturbing the peace. I used to be a neighbor from hell. Fine college kids in a nice big house throwing huge parties. One year I decided to try and top the Carlotta street party. Went out and got 5 kegs, two port o let's. Catering, and had parking set up . We were doing fine. No complaints. Then a shite ton of Southern students showed up from a nearby AA club on Nicholson and it got out of hand. Police raided us. My roommates at this time were on LSD so I took the fall. I had 4 other citations for parties. But they actually booked me for this one. Had a good bit of charges. Property damage, disturbing the peace, fire ordinance violation. Refusing lawful orders. And the big one. Providing minors with alcohol. It's cool that decades later I'll see some random person and they will talk about that party or another party. The house we rented had a 1,200 square foot indoor half court with 15' ceilings. We had a band stage installed. 15 tvs throught the yard and house. Men's and women's port o let. We had a trash band and a nu metal band play. Also charged $5 a head to get in with unlimited beer. We had A place in tigerland deliver two more kegs. Halloween 2001 was lit.

Quoted for truth, I was at every single one of those parties

Been to plenty of house parties where cops were called.

Never called the cops, only would if it was last resort. I’d talk to them first if there was a problem.

If someone reported us to the HOA we would get a $300 fine.

I call the cops on every party I see. Even kids birthday parties.

No one, in any of the neighborhoods in which I’ve lived, has had the cops called on them by a neighbor. I’m not trying to sound like an elitist, but I’ve just never lived in that kind of neighborhood.

Our first home, when we were poor enough to be in those neighborhoods, was on an acre, so no one cared.

Only time I’ve called the cops for noise is when about 100 hood rats who knew probably 1 person who lived in the apartment complex were having a huge extremely loud rap party at 2 am at the pool. That was a little much.

Coworker used to call the popo weekly on the mexicans in his trailer park. Every Friday and Saturday was a party.
