Need your opinion - Samsung or IPhone?

Opinions needed. Have an Iphone 6 and want to upgrade. I like the Samsung 8 and the Iphone 7. I've done a little research on the difference and performance between both phones but would like opinions from users.

What does your family and friends you contact the most have?
Currently have an S8+ and miss the seamless communication with my iPhone having family and group of friends. I've enjoyed the Android experience, but will probably be going back to iPhone next time.

I have a Samsung 5 that I have had for years. Im very happy with it but may have to look at the 10 when it comes out next year.
