You’re not alone. Do to you tube, my 10 yo knows more about European socio-economic factors that led to WWI/WWII and today than most adults

Even more obscure is he wasn't Japanese, didn't even speak Japanese, he was Amis (the indigenous people of Taiwan. He volunteered to fight for the Japanese army, after he surrendered he went back to Taiwan
