I didn't say she got pictures done like that, she just shared the article about that photographer on her fb wall. She is involved with a support group for women dealing with miscarriages so likely someone in her group showed it to her.

~25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. ~85% happen in the FIRST 12 weeks. This is why EVERYONE who knows some shite tells you to STFU until you get to that point.

Oh yeah. She deleted her Facebook app for like 4 months and just stopped talking to anyone pregnant. Of course she got pregnant again about 3 months later, but in her mind, it would never happen again.
Still working on figuring out the female psyche.

A miscarriage was the hardest thing to get over for Mrs NELATF
It took years for her to recover despite having healthy kids.
Prayers for you and wife - it will be tough on her. The crappiet part is the confirmation ultrasound before a procedure called c&d - don't know what that stands for but it sucks and is an emotional time for the lady.

Up here they called it a D&C- dillation and curettage.
Nothing sadder than seeing your wife immediately after the procedure is done, and knowing that your little one died was just pulled out.

Yea, I believe the wife of my co-worker is going in for the D&C today or to at least schedule it.

Yep, just had round 3 Monday, won't find out till next Tuesday if it worked, then we've got 12 weeks for it to hopefully not fail again.

Yes, that's kind of creepy, but I could see how people who have been thru MCs would find that comforting. There are times when I stop and think, "wow, there could be two little girls about 9 & 7 running around here."
MCs are especially difficult when they happen further along (friend had an early MC followed by 3 successful pregnancies; they had their 3 daughters in the room to find out the gender when they learned their son had died at ~20 weeks gestation).
But even when they happen early and then years later you learn that something simple and easy could have prevented them, it's still painful.
