Long story short, the builders that built my house left me with a fricked up yard that doesn't drain worth the shite when it rains.... we've had them come out to look at the yard to see if they can fix it for us, and we keep getting the run around....

so, now i want to get an estimate of what it would cost us to get our yard even to the state of "useable", because we've been here 4 months now, and i have yet to use my backyard even once...

no, it's not as simple as that.... i don't know shite about yard drainage and stuff, so i need someone to basically diagnose my yard and give me an estimate of what it will cost...

I had the same problem in Houston 20 years ago. The solution was 3 drains in the backyard that tied into underground (about 1 foot down) that ran along the side of the lot to the street in front. the drainpipe was run under the sidewalk and through the curb.

Still works well after 20 years. I know this does not solve your original problem, just an idea for you to contemplate.

If you are friendly with your neighbor and they have the same problem, you can tie into a common line that runs to the street.

Good luck.
