OP....you could rent a mobile home that is already in a mobile home community. Would likely be cheaper than renting an apartment or house.

I think he wants to put it on the land he purchased while he is remomeling the existing house.

I agree the 5th wheel may be a better option. You can keep it after the house is done if you wanted and it's going to have better reslae value and market if you don't want it.

You get very little for $5k. I have linked you to one in Hammond for $4k.

where are all of those old Katrina FEMA trailers?

There is about 1000 of them not far from where I live. They were selling for $2500 in excellent shape, before someone ripped the wiring out of all them to sell as scrap copper. Its a fricking sore sight along the highway.

That thing looks like it would fall apart in the process of moving it

Ask the dude pretending he has lots of tattoos and makes $200k a year. Via pm of course. He has a lie to uphold publicly.

I agree with the camper idea after looking and seeing this is the type of trailer you get for 4k

Actually pulled this one up on craigslist for baton rouge.actually nice for 6k. deal

Looks like it would have some resale value when done as well.

Yeah just not ready to live in a trailer city. I wanted to put it on the land that I will be buying.... the remodel will take probably a year ish since I'll be doing it by myself and due to a full time job that I work.

Is it just you and the wife? Pics?

There are two 34-ish foot campers for sale in Hammond in your range. One flooded. The other has a leaky roof. About $20 worth of Flex Seal will cure the leaking roof.

and then after the house is built you can still use the container as storage, convert into a guest house, sell it to someone building near you,, etc and so forth

If you're on Facebook search mobile homes for sale and look in marketplace

There's a bunch for sale under 5k in my area. And being so close to the LP should help a lot

That's pretty nice for $6k. A pole barn negates any roof leakage and keeps it looking better too.

I'm not sensitive at all. You just followed up sound advice with a fail of a post, that's all, nothing more nothing less.
