I'm dealing with a spreadsheet with about 50k lines and need to pull out just particular information.

I've pulled out the particular column I need information from and performed Text to Columns based on commas...this works for what I need. After doing this to all 50k lines, I have varying lengths of rows...some go to DW, some to EC, some to ZZ, etc.

Within each of these rows, I only want to pull out cells that contain particular data and scrap the rest. For instance, below I just want to pull out cells that contain the word RAT:

monkey.>fly elephant.>restaurant fly.>missions rat./michael hangers.rat michigan?dog

I know I'm probably explaining this horribly, but if I'm making any sense, a lil help would be appreciated.

Would it make sense to reorganize the information and do a v lookup?

I'll see if I can help.

They're called rows.

For real though. Look up "IF THEN" statements and tailor it to your desired outcome.

I think I understand what you're asking. The easiest way:

Select All
CTRL+F and enter RAT
Click "Find All"
Select the first one
Scroll to the bottom, hold SHIFT, and click the last one with "RAT"
Close the window
CTRL - will delete the cells with "RAT"
Pick ENTIRE ROW

Man, I think this will work. Going to give it a shot.

Thanks!
