impossible for dealers to tell the difference even after opening the back unless they are really good.

You're have to cite some proof on that one, and yes, I'll admit I may not be up to speed on the fake watch game.

Last I heard though, dealers that deal in Rolex watches could easily tell them apart w/o cracking a case.

Average watch traders, maybe not...

Go to a store connected to Garcia’s restaurant in Matamoros, right across the border in Brownsville.

I bought a Rolex there. Still have it! Has a really nice blue face on it.

So it takes :43 to spot the fake.

Thanks for posting that.

what do you want me to say? Even Omega got burned when the company paid millions for a fake Omega.

I'm not going to do your research but it's pretty easy to do. Some of the so-called fakes are even produced on off hours in the same Chinese factory producing the real watches using the same material.

I don't think you're going to get the information you want from YouTube.

You think Rolex isn't asking YT to scrub the videos showing how good the super replicas are?

You can think what you want but instead of "oh I bet it's not hard for a real dealer to tell" based on no research, you might want to go down the rabbit hole a bit first.

You can still spot a fake, even a "great" one, without cracking the case.

People on here make ridiculous assertions on here all the time, and when they get called out, they can't back up a single thing they said.

No dealer is getting fooled by fakes, unless they don't own loup.

Enjoy your fake watch.

Great sources you cited to back that up.

I bet you don't have the first clue what goes into the crystal, steel, ceramics and movement of super replicas and frankens.

You just saw a YT video probably sponsored by Rolex that said hurr durrrr look how easy it is to spot a fake.

You also just ignored the fact even the official Omega watchmasters were fooled by a fake and they spent millions to buy what they believed was a rare Omega.

And you also ignored my comment about ghost watches which are made with the same material in the same factory as the real watches.

But yep, the rando Rolex dealer on the corner will totally not be fooled.

This thread is sad.

I wouldn’t feel right trying to pretend. I have to have the real thing or just don’t buy something as nice.

I like watches but haven’t really ever had the Rolex bug. I’d rather buy 20k in watches over time and add a couple omegas and a Tudor or Breitling.
