If I can't rent an umbrella, then I'll go with sunscreen, a straw cowboy hat and a back pack cooler. I'm done dragging 5 tons of shite thru ankle deep sand. Those days ended when the kids grew up.

Bought one last year and any time the breeze picked up slightly, the sand bag anchors would be pulled and the tent would start to sag. Waste of money.

Just got back from Fort Morgan. Our group brought 5 umbrellas. Most of us got them of amazon. Dug down, screwed in the torpedo holder, and filled back with wet sand. They worked great and we had plenty of shade for everyone.

I use this works great and is upper light and comes in a carry bag.

Also highly recommend Parkit chair with cooler underneath.

Have you used one? I've used both friend. It's lighter than the umbrella too.

FWIW Those blue shades are LOUD in the wind. Sat behind a group that had one and it got old real quick.

Had a good friend killed by a beach umbrella. Struck in the neck, bleed to death very quickly.

Just to lighten things up.

Sport-Brella’s were on sale half off a couple weeks ago.

Guess you missed prime purchasing time.

This is so OT. Is the sound really that bad? Seems like it’d be like beach white noise or something.

I lived in Mexico beach for 7 years. Neso tents are the bomb. No stakes required and

If it’s somewhat crowded or at least a good bit of foot traffic around, is the footprint of those too big? Especially as far as deep, with how far back the rear anchors/ropes go?

I had considered buying one and scratched it off the list after being near one. It was a really windy day, but I couldn’t hear the waves over it. I realize everyone’s different but that’s just my opinion

The noise of these drove me nuts at the beach last month. Shadeusa.com sells an 8 ft umbrella that has a self anchoring pole. Easy to use and big. 49.99.

There are two different sizes. The bags on the 10x10 sticks out about 2-3' past the canopy. You want to fill the bags, stretch the cords with bags out and bury them. They make a smaller version. 8x8 I believe. I only had two poles with mine but was looking to get two more. Ended up moving away

I could not have fit any more sand in those anchors. Even tried using wet sand and buried them but it still didn't work. I did see someone with some elastic ties that go around the rubber feet up top and that looked to stabilize any sliding that was occurring due to the wind. May try that this year.

Everyone likes the shibumi but I’ve seen it end at least one marriage and cause other domestic violence when they wouldn’t work.

2 decent beach umbrellas work perfect for my family of 5. So much easier Thant tents and shades. As mentioned buy the anchors

Quit being an OT Poor and pay for the service. Who wants to drag 2 kids, a drunk wife, 4 chairs, a umbrella, a cooler, and half of santa's bag full of water toys,
but then I get stuck with whoever they place next to me. Morgan Wallen music and all.

I rent chairs and umbrellas but am sometimes envious of guys that can just move their shite
