Wait until December, their half price

They just had price increases as steel went up.
You might jump on one at tractor supply before increase. Guy came in the shop and said homedepot went up $100. My units next year will go up to that price.
Be honest a 42” or if you get a wild hair 46” is all you need especially if you cut around things.
They all have mow in reverse that typically a std option except low end units.
I sold & serviced Cub Cadet, JD’s, and Husqvarna.
In entry level brand in a decent lawn tractor I like the cub cadet as they still use tuff torque transmission. JD and husqvarna went to General
Composite transmission which is cheaper and has a lot of issues. They screwed up leaving tuff torque hydrostatic or at least going to a metal CVT transmission.
Look at how much stuff you have to cut around.
Do you have to go inbetween fences?
Where are you storing it and how much room you have to store it?
Are you cutting near ditches?
Two blades
42” typically gives you a single cylinder engine.
A little more vibration and makes a more noise.
46” usually a twin cylinder which is smoother less vibration as the other piston balances the engine.
3 blades
50” or larger twin cylinder
Garden tractor -
You do not need this one.
Depending on brand you can get drive shaft, bigger frames, bigger transmission, fab deck or stamped, etc.
Higher level riders they all increase in quality, type
Of transmission, and some like the cub cadet have drive shafts. You can start talking $3,000 on up. That more mower than you need. They are only sold at the dealer level.

My great uncle had a Snapper he'd bought in the late 60s or maybe early to mid-70s. He died, my father inherited it; he died, I inherited it so we probably used that damn thing for 40 years and it not only never missed a beat, we replaced the battery a couple of times, blades now and then, until it finally blew the engine in the 80s.
Bought another one in the 80s, ran it for about 10 years, wore it out; bought another one and ran it for about 10 years and wore it out.
I say all that to say this: DO NOT buy one of today's Snappers as they are crap, total crap.
Some group bought them out, quite using heavy duty quality steel. I'd give anything to get one of the old time Snappers.

I bought a Poulan for $800 and it has lasted 4 years and havent had any issues with it. Has a Briggs & Stratton motor which is why i bought it. The push mower i had before it also had a B&S and lasted 10+ years. Don’t be dissuaded by the cheap price tag, it’s a pretty good mower.

Nope. You need a new lawn service.
You’re welcome.
