She had to know it would kill her one way or another:

I've seen people do that a lot, I steer clear, way clear

Cue the wrongful death lawsuit.

Always wondered if that could happen for real. Now I know.

The tank exploded?
They point blank say the tank exploded.
That seems unlikely. What’s the fuel source inside the tank?

Pressure

How does said pressure increase?

portable oxygen machine
Agreed, I doubt an oxygen tank exploded, more likely a machine used to produce oxygen. That could have oil used to lubricate the parts and other flammable material. Lazy writing.

I work as a pressure systems engineer, panty dropper - let me tell you, and I’m legitimately curious. I do oxygen compatibility assessments and I’ve studied oxygen fires...I just wonder how the ignition source made it back through the regulator, and what was the fuel inside it.

O2 isn't flammable but is a huge accellerant for flammables.
Light an acetylene torch and you have a dull sooty flame that'll clog your sinuses. Throw oxygen to it and you can cut a fricking bridge in half.
NFPA requires at least 5 ft for combustibles and O2. This lady obviously was closer than that.
