I just went to cox last week and completely cut off my tv package - didn't need it. All i watch are the main channels and ESPN for sports - so why pay $130 when I can get a Mohu HD antenna for $20 at WalMart and never pay a dime to shite channels that I don't watch?

Doubt it. NBC Sports Channel has different programming than NBC regular channel. My Directv guide shows Rhode Island vs St. Joe and Richmond vs Fordham basketball on NBC Sports Channel this afternoon.

Wow, that actually works for you? I've tried this in the past and was asked "what day do you want your service turned off?"

Cox is ruthless.

This. I think the cable companies got wind of this game and stopped giving in to the average Joe a long time ago. I cancelled my service to go with OTA antenna and streaming providers and they couldn't have seemed any more excited to help me leave.

Went to google on PS4. Googled "Reddit NFL stream" and found a link for the ps4. Works perfectly and I'm happy

Just ran to Walmart and bought this.

Hooked it up. Moved it away from metal table. Put it close to window. Ran channel scan and BOOM!!!!

Perfect picture no Cox required.

$43 and will return tomorrow.

WVLA is not owned by NBC Universal. It's owned by a company called Nextar Independent, they just have an NBC affiliation. Exacly the same way that WAFB is owned by Raycom and WBRZ is owned by the Manship family. Only a handful of stations around the country are actually owned by their network, none of them are in Baton Rouge.

Interesting, good info.
