And I'm certain that if they drop the requirements for the teams, there will be a mass exodus of guys with tridents for the private sector immediately. People think BUDS is it. Pass hell week you get a trident. Its not. That's barely the beginning. It gets worse. And in the end, even if you pass everything physically, they can still wash you out because you don't fit in. You have to assimilate into the SEALs. You don't get to check off boxes and then graduate. That's not how it works.
So even if there is one single female on this planet that could take the physical and mental tasks and survive it, if they don't want her to get a trident...
she's not going to pass. And it's that way for a reason and that reason has nothing to do with social justice, equality, whatever other dumb shite people think. It has to do with a SEAL Team being the deadliest unit on the planet with no weak link.
So even if there is one single female on this planet that could take the physical and mental tasks and survive it, if they don't want her to get a trident...

Shite, dive phase will probably wash out any female that could possibly make it through Hell Week and the odds of that would be about like hitting the Powerball. The only way a female could make it through BUD/S would be if they lower the standards.

Is that true? I haven't heard they changed it at all.
My thoughts on that were if they passed that shite, they deserved to be Rangers, but if they changed the test for them, thats fricking bullshite.

It's not going to happen. Like I said, the day it did, they'd lose billions of dollars worth of SEALS who would walk. Which is more important, a functioning SEAL option or one woman getting that trident? They won't care about careers. A lot of SEALS abandon their commission to become a SEAL anyway. They care about the teams and their mission. Everything else is noise.
That's why it's laughable that an admiral says they'll open it up to women because he KNOWS it's not going to happen, but hey, we opened up to the, right?

True and with the SEALS being Obama's and probably the next Presidents "go to" option for handling our new covert missions, I doubt either would want to take that risk.
