For the downvoters, everything you buy uses gasoline to get to you.

Bunch of Neanderthal Louisianians in here. They depend on oilfields and crawfish to sustain themselves.

Price will continue to drop as the world oil market gets flooded with middle eastern oil.
The saudis have tried this approach before, but failed, they have too many princes and citizens on the dole. Also if they don't pay off the extremist mullahs those guys will revolt, PLUS they have to buy tons of weapons from the US to appease Trump and not just Trump really but all US presidents.
TLDR Their budget doesn't allow for hyper-cheap crude.

With the new king, it isn't the same saudi arabia. Many of the extremists have been cleaned out. Maybe this time things turn out the same but it could be different.

The Saudis and OPEC+ see a boom on the horizon, oe at least that is what they are posturing for publically.
I do think with all the political movement with Russia something is about to break on the supply side. Futures had crashed pretty hard indicating a lot of oil may be on the market soon.

Just wait until we free Venezuelan production with the overthrow of Maduro. Gas will be under $1

Texas and New Mexico alone produce enough oil for the vast majority of the US.
The U.S. consumes about 20 Million bbls/day. TX and NM produce about 7.5 to 8 MM bbls/day. So no, those two states alone don’t produce enough for the vast majority of the U.S.

Not without another pandemic shutting down demand, but if gasoline did get under $1 average in the U.S., that would mean oil so dirt cheap that drilling onshore and offshore U.S. would come to a damn near screeching halt. Drilling would be done merely to preserve leases, and other than that, rigs would be stacked sitting idle.

I really hope this is truly supply driven and not demand driven.

I stand corrected
