Hell yeah there will be a huge boom. I’ve already heard that a bunch are going to flip to LSU at the last minute. We need to hire more professors immediately!

Enrolling to a university solely on the success of the football team is pretty stupid. No serious student would do that.
A family friend has a daughter who graduated from Wesleyan, which is pretty damn near Ivy level. Out of all the places she could have gone to law school, she chose Alabama.

Alabama’s law school is highly ranked

Not nearly as highly ranked as some of the places she could have gone.

I think Alabama will be more successful in all facets long term, because sports is part of a larger strategy to invest and improve the school comprehensively, versus the disconnect at LSU between sports and the educational mission.
The Saban effect is alive and well at Alabama. That campus hardly looks anything like it did pre-Saban. Would that have happened with Mike Shula still coaching, I doubt it. Alabama capitalized on the success of the football team.
There is fixing to be a tidal wave surge in excitement at LSU and I hope ya'll cash in.

eta: nope, applicants increase - not enrollment. I misspoke! I was finally wrong about something.
That's good. The academic profile of LSU will go up.
