Do you put your hand over your heart? Does it anger you to see those who don't?

Saw several at a baseball game today who did not, and it fricking pissed me off. Get the frick out of my country!

I put my hand over my heart, but what really gets me is people who don't take their hats off.

Eta: Tino got to it first.

What bothers me is men that don't take their hats off and people that don't stand. You don't have to put your hand on your heart to show respect (but I do).

I hold my hand over my heart. I don't let it get me angry when someone doesn't.

Yes I do, and no. The only thing that angers me is when people talk and continue holding side conversations during the national anthem. I'm not asking you to sing along or anything. Just shut your freaking mouth for one minute then your shitty conversations can continue on

Eh, it's America. It's kind of our own fault.

I wouldn't object if this people would at least acknowledge the flag, but to stand or sit, back to them flag, is an indicator that you are in fact a piece of shite who doesn't deserve the freedom afforded to you by the very people that flag represents.

I've always been told that you put your hand over your heart for the pledge of allegiance, but since I played baseball I always took my hat off and held it behind my back with the bill facing up.

Do you stand for the national anthem when you are watching a sporting event at a bar(ex:today's World Cup match)?

Meh. The flag also represents freedom(or at least it used to). I believe you're free to burn the flag if you want, not that I would.

I put my hand over my heart.

If I have a hat on, I take it off.

It doesn't piss me off when others don't, but it does kind of disgust me.

I'll never forget going to the LSU / Auburn game after 9/11. The rescheduled game/win and we go to the SECCG. Seemed like the whole crowd sang the national anthem at the top of their lungs. Very moving to see that many folks wear their patriotism on their sleeves, but like someone once said, folks died to give folks the right to leave their hats on.

It disgusts me, but they do have that right. I'd rather be disgusted by the acts of others than live in a country that threw folks in jail for "noncompliance."
