Even the “bad” areas of Nashville are still pretty decent.

They do a good job of hiding it but there are areas of Nashville that are as bad as anything you’ll find in Memphis, Jackson, etc.

I agree that they can hide it well, but I also think you're exaggerating there. Are parts of North Nashville, Whites Creek, East Nashville, Madison, Smyrna, Old Hickory, and so forth bad? Sure, but Jackson, MS and Memphis take it to a whole new level.

You've obviously never been to the Napier or Cayce projects after dark.

I like in the Chestnut Hill area close by Napier and Trevecca. In my opinion, Napier is the worst, but I still don't think its as bad as parts of Memphis, Jackson, or New Orleans.

Please stop. You are so out of touch. I sincerely hope you're a teenager.

Nobody deserves a tornado.

Gentrification is far more complex than you'd like to believe. There are multiple ways to strengthen neighborhoods beyond your inconsiderate and limited world view.

North Nashville is a tightknit historically black neighborhood, with two HBCUs, Fisk and TSU, at the core. There are a lot of folks working hard from *within* the community to better it along with transplants who've decided to be good neighbors and engage in their new community. Slim & Husky's, Southern V, and Salemtown Board Co are just a few working hard to revive and preserve. These two things are not exclusive of one another.

Are you saying there are no black people in Nashville or are you saying black.people are looters?

Either way, you should be embarrassed.

One could say you are comparing oranges to apples. All of these events are tragic events so why are you worried more about who looted and who didn't, but in New Orleans, after Katrina.. Katrina wasn't the problem. It was the levee which filled the city leaving people in the city for days while nothing was able to come into the city for days.

Take any city in the US.. Flood parts of it out and let the people stay in without away to get out and don't allow anyone to come in for a few days.. It will not take long before you will see people acting the same way that you saw after Katrina.

Better than what is currently there. If there was one neighborhood in Nashville that needed a tornado, it is North Nashville.
If there is one poster here that needs to choke on their own vomit...

WTF do you mean needs a tornado? 24 people lost their lives, you sorry piece of shite.

You need to be ran out of here.
