NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover, with the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter attached to its belly, is on target to touch down gently on the Red Planet around 3:55 p.m. EST (12:55 p.m. PST) today, Feb. 18, 2021.
The entry, descent, and landing team started on console at mission control at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at 8:30 a.m. EST (5:30 a.m. PST) this morning. They are preparing for the spacecraft to start blazing through the Martian atmosphere at around 3:48 p.m. EST (12:48 p.m. PST). At the time of landing, Mars will be 127 million miles (204 million kilometers) from Earth. At this distance, the one-way light time — the amount of time for a signal to get from Perseverance to Earth — is 11 minutes, 22 seconds

I know it's sarcasm from you.
One thing that was crazy about the whole "back to science" thing when Biden was elected is that whether you liked him, loved him or hated him, Trump helped NASA out a lot and through that, science/studies were also helped. The last time the party of science was in charge they gutted NASA. Well, that and also that the party of science claims there's 80 different genders. Yea, way to go science!

It would be really interesting if some aliens blew it out the sky upon descent.
Posted on 2/18/21 at 10:41 am to saint tiger225
Looking forward to this one

Hey, after the craziness of 2020 and how 2021 is starting, aliens blowing shite up might actually be on par for how things are going.

We may be soon at war with the aliens on Mars. Hold your loved ones close today.

Is he still the flight director? His title seems to be deputy chief engineer. I know he was the flight director for curiosity in 2012.

The women working on this project have forgotten more science than you'll ever know.
