He still practiced Ramadan. He wouldn't even drink water from sun up to sun down

And I knew if we got married he'd want a Muslim wedding and want to raise our kids as Muslim and I'm baptist so I couldn't do that

Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world's standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.

It is amazing how if a "gay" person says that they were born that way, that there was no choice, all you enlightened sympathetic people jump to their side, but someone actually takes the stance to say that they made a choice, and they must present proof.
Oh what bigoted idiots you truly are at heart.

Engaging in homosexual acts is a choice but if you can honestly say that your sexual orientation is a choice then you are probably bisexual.

The Government should not be in the bedroom. But the government shouldn't be forcing private business to do business with anyone ever. The protected status of anyone is unlawful all people are created equal according to our charter. The passing of special status laws further polarizes people who would otherwise not make a stand against a group but reject the singling out. The gay love shown, not the act but the gay love by media and politicians who fall over themselves being so tolerant and enlightened is sickening a well. The dude is gay and plays football, it's not like he's made a stand against any real odds. I don't remember hearing anyone persecute him, but do remember a few guys who spoke against him tonguing his manlover on national tv and suspended. I have a friend who grew up in a small town who never fit in moved to New York and is a different person. I'm happy for him, he deserves to be happy but what special law is needed to protect a guy who was gay in a southern town of 5000 without trouble, and now in gay heaven on Fire Island, none.
Government stay out of bedroom
Gays stop acting like you're so persecuted, civil union ok marriage no it's a sacrament
Gays stop all the ridiculous behavior at gay pride events, sodomizing your significant other on tv doesn't ring of assimilation into society.
A gay athlete is gay nothing more, didn't walk to school having to have state police escort for safety, nobody gives a shite.
Me accepting your right to your lifestyle doesn't mean I condone it or will change several thousand years of Judeo Christian law for your splinter group. Calling me a name won't change that.
Stop with all the pre disposition to be insulted by everything, lighten up. Hearing a dude say homo somewhere is not reason to cause a confrontation.
The most intolerant of all groups are the ones who seek to be tolerated. Give respect get respect.

I just believe that everyone is born heterosexual, but that life events can lead them to try other things. I don't believe that anyone was born wired to be homosexual, asexual, bisexual, or pansexual.

I give you an up vote for a wonderfully laid out and well thought out response.

Maybe just eliminate the word marriage as a legal status all together and only recognize civil unions.

We wouldn't exist today if homosexuality were natural.

Not true.

We wouldn't exist today if everyone was a homosexual. Its a small portion of the population.

A small portion of the population is born infertile as well. We wouldn't exist if everyone was born infertile either.

1. I love the fact that you were goth in high school. It explains so much.

2. You still never addressed my post to you about the fallacy in your reasoning.

I've been close freinds with several male homosexuals that all have said they were attracted to men and men only since they were small children. Non were abused or somehow mentally twisted into being homosexual. Sexuality is complex and I do think environmental factors play a role but not always.

Why do you believe this? People are born with mental "wiring" problems all the time.
