My Whirlpool front load sucks at keeping time

Or do they just keep time different in China where these things are manufactured?
Started the 'Casual Wash' on my Whirlpool compact front load. The digital timer started counting down from 45 minutes. This was an hour ago..... the damn timer is still showing 13 minutes.
How can you be so good at math yet so bad at keeping time?

I think the start time is default. The time adjusts according to weight.
