i'm just glad he never knocked on my door out in the rural area when i was growing up ... i could handle the older folk who handed me their little pamphlet ... they were usually dressed in typical sunday/church clothing, so i just accepted it and threw it away when they left ... if i'd have seen a short, black italian looking fella in a purple jumpsuit, i probably would have shot him ...

he did. this thread is just full of children. He may have died from too many pain meds, but that would be like saying a 100 yr old person died of a heart attack. Prince weighed about 80lbs or less bc of aids and not willing to take related medicine, which is odd since he was taking pain medication.

Wearing high heels may have exacerbated an underlying issue but to blame it 100% on purple pumps is too simplistic.

Most don't dance like Prince. They don't even come close. And they don't do it four hours every night -- not to mention rehearsals -- for 40 years. His hips and knees were fricked. That been established a long time ago. Now, whether it was an accidental or not, I can't tell you. Those that worked with him and knew have said that he had lost his appetite and his energy over the last month or so.

It is well known that Prince was devoutly religious and not the type to die from a drug overdose.

Yes since "religious" people would never stoop to such levels of treachery, huh?

They only kill you if you take them improperly.

First they screw the joy of sleeping in on Saturdays by blasting my doorbell at 8 am and now they caused Prince to adhere to a stupid made up belief that eventually would lead to his death?

Is there anything JW's can't screw up?

Or you know you take them when you have an upper respiratory infection or the like and the pain meds suppress your breathing even further and you die...sometimes. You know that extra dose hospice nurses give terminal patients to ease them on their way.

I think just an accidental overdose. The doctor missed something, he pushed too hard, maybe upped his dosage. He just never seemed the type to go out like this. But you also have to remember that he was 56. He might have looked like a teenager but he was a middle aged man and 56 year old men die cutting the grass or taking a shite everyday and they don't have aids or drug problems.

How do you know he was taking them orally and not on a patch?

Most of these women probably do not have osteoarthritis which is what destroys the protective cartilage in the joint. The disease can manifest itself at a early age and physical activity such as prince engaged can certainly accelerated the deterioration. I know of people that were basically sedentary and required hip replacements in their 40s.

I don't how he was taking them. I don't if he was. I know he was vegan. I know he didn't drink. I know he was into homeopathy. I know according that knew him he slept very little and was a tireless worker. I know he was 57 years old and it's not uncommon for men his age -- especially black men with their propensity to hyper tension and heart problems -- die for no apparent reason.

Just because he died doesn't mean he had AIDs or was abusing prescription meds.

Kinda.

Knee replacements are being done like day surgery these days with the procedure being done in the morning and home that afternoon for otherwise healthy people with no co-morbidities.

A hip replacement isn't shite these days even for an old person.

Also, good job by the admins not pulling this thread hours ago as requested.

Still pissed he tried to pick up my squeeze Susanna Hoffs. If he had tried to pick up Michael Steele, might have had to end his life a long time ago

This guy had to know that a bloodless aortic surgery was a bad idea. I'm sure his father did too, but they stuck to their religious beliefs instead.

I've actually heard of some of those types of folks being ok if a Cell Saver is used (there's a suction device that puts the patient's blood into a bag and gives it back to them).

I've also heard that even that is unacceptable to some, something to the effect of "blood should not sit still" and be reintroduced to the body. I've never really looked into what exactly the belief is, where it comes from, or what it's based on, but I thought it was an interesting case to mention to your point. My assumption is that he was anti-cell saver.

Fentanyl is the only painkiller that I know of that comes in a patch, and again, if you take it as prescribed it's not going to kill you.
