My trick is to use Google Voice. I have four numbers there and I can turn them on or off as I need. You can only link one google voice to a phone at a time, but they don't get your real number and you can block calls and screen calls a lot easier.
You can set it to where a caller has to say their name first, that alone blocks most spam calls.
Texts, not much you can do about them, Most CL ads will get texts. You need to be careful offending the wrong person, you may catch a psycho who will track you down.

that's why I never would give my number out on CL, always do email to weed out scammers and then text or call from there.
