If you are going to test motors, you should stick it in the ground. That way it doesn't fly all over the place.

I know a guy that lives in the Auburn area that might can help you. He can advise you on how to do this safely and legally. PM me

Video was zoomed in. I was about 30 feet back and behind a wall.

But I understand the comment. Safety wasn't the highest of priorities during this test

Seriously though, It can be quite dangerous, so next time I'm either going to put it head first into the ground and bury it or make a device to hold it securely.

Switch to heavy bodied cardboard tubes before you frick up on packing/transit and send PVC shrapnel to your face.

You could always get stainless steel shot glasses and epoxy them to the fusel lodge instead of concrete. Should be cheap enough and the machining should be with in tolerance specs to give you a consistent burn with each subsequent launch.

Have some real advice and some that may actually be funny.

Use that video and create a gofundme. Make it sound like you're a 12 year old kid who needs $1,000.00 for various parts like more bricks, some safety goggles, spray paint and some actual parts you might need. Post the link here and let's see where it goes.

I would disregard EVERYTHING uttered by someone using the term "fusel lodge."

Just saying.

Quite a few did. Most famous would be Ken Mattingly, the guy who got sick in Apollo 13 . Eventually got to go to the moon in the Command Service Module

Edit: There's a pretty infamous story at Auburn that Mattingly took some Auburn flags on Apollo 16 (this much is true), that were then planted on the moon by his fellow astronaut Charles Duke. Nobody has ever confirmed it. Would be really cool to reach out to one of them to confirm/deny

I'm going to disagree here. You should tie it to a pole like a tetherball and report back on the findings.

Planting it in the ground like that just turns OP's pipe bomb into a mortar.

Sugar rockets are fun. Just build it a little stronger. It didn't explode.

ETA: go to the beach some time and strap some wings into that bitch. See how far you can fly it out
