They are at around 2am now. How can I get him back on schedule at 7am?

Change the time in which you put the food in, and your dog will change the time it shits it out.

No food or water after 7pm or earlier. Make him sleep in kennel until he gets back on track.

You got one of those "shite behind the couch" dogs?

I hate those.

Fix him a cup of coffee at 6:30 am and he'll be shitting at 7 in no time.

Incontinence comes with old age. There are several posters here that could tell you more.

Try feeding him later so he doesn't have to hold it as long., or feed him early and take him out before bed.

What time do you normally feed him? Do you keep food out all day?

Would help if you gave more info.My dogs are fed around 4:30pm, by 5:30 i let them out and they usually both poo, then let them out again around 10pm or before i go to bed.I getup at 5:30 am and out again, never a prob with them wanting out in the middle of the night. If you're leaving food down 24\7 i would stop that because that could be the prob unless you are feeding late if so i would kick back the feed time. Also if you are pushing bathroom breaks longer then 4 hrs after the dog eats then that is your prob, they just cant wait that long.

Agree with above post. Vet told me no food or water after 7pm. I feed 1/2 cup around 7 am then another half cup around 3-5pm. If there is any left which it's normally all gone, I pick it up after 5pm. Leave water down till 7pm.

Get a dog door, then he can go out himself.

3 fingers up the rear at about 6:55 every day for a week. This will fix the problem
